View official event page ↗Official registration ↗Rügen: compare the swimming as well as the distance
For 22 May 2027, the organiser lists three swimrun formats. The swimming is part of the total distance, not an extra distance to add. These are the published figures checked on 31 October 2026; the course can change.
| Format | Total | Swimming included |
|---|---|---|
| Experience | 7.01 km | 1.02 km |
| Sprint | 20.34 km | 2.50 km |
| World Series | 46.04 km | 5.47 km |
The Sprint name still means more than 20 km overall, including 2.5 km of swimming. Compare the individual swim sections, cut-offs, equipment rules and solo/team options on the exact race-detail page before choosing. Experience is the shortest listed format; that does not make open-water swimming easy or suitable for everyone.
From event to preparation
Check the organiser’s confirmed format and equipment rules first. These independent guides help you assess what you already own and what you may need; they are not this event’s mandatory kit list.
